About us and Harringworth

Harringworth Manor Stables is nestled in the heart of the Welland valley.  Surounded by rolling hills, lakes and woods perhaps the most awe inspiring feature of Haringworth is the Welland Valley Viaduct. The viaduct is 1,275 yards (1.166 km) long and has 82 arches, each of which has a 40 feet (12 m) span. It was completed in around 1878, and is the longest masonry viaduct across a valley in Britain. The Welland valley viaduct extends behind the riding school and through some of the grazing fields - a truely breathtaking site!

The team at Harringworth aim to ensure that under our guidance and tuition learning to ride is fun and educational. We cater for all different levels of competency and no matter what your age or experience invite you to come riding with us.

Pam Harrison

For over 30 years Pam has been the proprietor of Harringworth Manor Stables.  But long before the business was established, Pam had been working with horses - training, backing, schooling and competing.  A successful competitor in jumping and point to point, Pam uses her wealth of experience with horses to teach others to ride and oversee the maintenance of the horses and yard. Pam’s knowledge, experience and compassion for horses is apparent in all that she does and forms the backbone of the business.

Sarah Boon

Sarah has been working with Pam for 25 years.  She has multiple NVQ’s in horse management, care and riding and has also achieved qualifications in stud management.  Having competed and shown in various disciplines and across all levels Sarah offers private tuition, as well as taking regular hacks out.  A full time employee, Sarah is instrumental in the yards management team and daily care of the horses.

Steve Riddell

Our own Scottish import who has proved himself to be really kind and compassionate with all the animals. He loves horses and took ownership of Olympia, a 17hh ex-hunter mare 4years ago. A constant at the yard and always willing to help or lend a hand where needed.

There are also a number of other staff and helpers, often charged with helping around the yard, taking lessons and hacks out, the yard wouldn't run quite so smoothly without their help!
