We are very specific about any horses we take as working liveries. If you'd like more information about keeping your horse with us on working livery, please do give us a call to discuss.
We have a numer of horses and ponies owned by the yard and on working livery. Below are just a few of our very much loved and trusted horses.
13hh Exmore cross: She was donated to the stables as a 5 year old because she wasn’t suited to the owners at the time. However, 12 years later she is now a valued member of staff and a much loved ride by many customers.
12hh Welsh Section B: She arrived at Harringworth Manor Stables 20 years ago and is still as active as she was then. A favourite of small children, Schwepps does most of her work in the school with young children or on out on short walks with new younger riders.
16hh American paint cross: Chaos is not at all as her name suggests. Born here in 1996, she is a steady ride for confident riders. She was born at 5 o’clock in the morning in the mares field amongst much Chaos, hence her very undeserving name.
14.2hh Welsh Section C: A very good, safe and quite hack. Many learners prefer to use her for their rides out. Sue-Ann has been at the stables for 5 years, in which time she has established herself as a favourite of those learners wanting to explore the countryside.
13hh Welsh Cross: Our partially sighted pony has adjusted to life here as a school horse remarkably well. He is full of character and always willing to work in the school or out on short hacks. Calm and safe he is used by many of our smaller riders and more confident children.
17hh TB, Shire cross: She is an excellent hunter and a great all rounder. A perfect horse for experienced riders she hacks out alone or in company. Bridget is a lovely, big and impressive mare. She is gentle and safe and loves her work. Bridget is a favourite of many riders who come to Harringworth for hacks out, pub rides and our butt busting, long rides.
17hh Skewbald Irish cob. Timmy is a lovely natured boy who is very athletic. He jumps like a stag and loves the long pub rides. He really takes care of his rider and is great for both novice and more advanced riders.
14hh Halflinger. He's the most mischevious horse on the yard and if there has been trouble, it ws probably Toto! He has a massive fan club and is loved by all despite his ways. He loves jumping and is great to hack out. His fan club consists of riders of all ages and abilities. He's a very beautiful boy and a real head turner.
12hh Part bread Quarter Horse: Another foal born here at Harringworth, Buck was born in 1999. Raised and schooled here, Buck has grown up to be a quiet, easy ride for lead reign or more experienced riders.
14.2 hh Pure bread Quarter Horse: Born and Bred at Harringworth Manor Stables, River has won many prizes at the national Quarter Horse shows. A champion stallion in his early days, at 18 years old he now loves to go out on hacks and has taught many people to ride in the school.
A lovely dark browm mare, Jetabel is 15.2hh and is one of our most reliable horses. She's safe, comfy and loves to hack out and is great in the school. Jetable has been with us for many years and is a very valued member of our school.
