"Not only have I learned to ride again, I have made some great friends."
Pam and Sarah not only taught me to ride they helped me to find the perfect horse. Just over a year ago I was only learning to ride English and now I have 2 horses of my own which I board at Harringworth. With miles and miles of beautiful off road hacks and first rate care I know that my horses are well looked after whilst I'm at work.
The friendly environment and camaraderie at the yard means the time I get to spend there is a such a pleasure. Not only have I learned to ride again, I have made some great friends.

" For me, riding is a brilliant way to forget the stresses from the week and I would recommend it to anyone."
I started learning to ride in 2008 when my daughter asked for riding lessons for her Birthday. I’d always thought I’d like to learn but had reservations about learning as an adult and having never ridden before, was unsure I would “fit in”. How wrong I was! The staff at Harringworth Manor Stables made me feel welcome and I started learning to ride with my daughter. Just over a year later, Marcus, a 17.3 ex hunter came to the yard. He’d had a hard life and was very poorly, but with lots and lots of TLC, Pam and the staff got him back full health and I took the opportunity to buy him.
I have enjoyed the past three years at Harringworth Manor Stables and continue to do so. The staff are very good, helpful and somehow create feeling of a holiday camp for the horses. I can tell that Marcus is happy and settled there and he has come on leaps and bounds. For me, riding is a brilliant way to forget the stresses from the week and I would recommend it to anyone.
For anyone who fancies a go or likes a challenge, do it because these guys will more than welcome you!

"I feel confident that Pam and Co. know what they are doing around horses. Thank you to Pam and all her staff for looking after us!"
We recently moved to the Corby area and for the first time for 30 years I had to find somewhere to keep my horse as I no longer have room at home. I knew it would not be easy to find somewhere that I would feel happy for my beloved mare Ellie to be looked after. I visited Harringworth Manor Stables and the first thing that struck me was how well all the horses looked. I discussed my requirements and was very pleased that Pam and everyone were happy to make sure that Ellie would have the care she needed as she was elderly and in need of TLC.
After Ellie and I had settled in, it soon became apparent that the horses came first, but the humans had some fun too. The hacking has been wonderful and all the people at the stables have been helpful and friendly. We have been able to take things at our own pace and Ellie has settled in really well and my mind has been put at rest. I feel confident that Pam and Co. know what they are doing around horses. Thank you to Pam and all her staff for looking after us!

"Being at Harringworth has not only made me become a better rider but a more confident person. "
I first came to Harringworth when I was 12, my mum said to me before I got out the car, ‘You will never get on that horse!’ Ohhh how wrong she was!! I began riding and helping out with the other girls and learnt so much more about horses from all the staff at the yard and made lots of new friends. I have now been helping and riding at Harringworth for 6 years.
I enjoy both lessons and hacking with all my friends, Pam and Sarah have taught me so much about horses. I go to the annual camp every year which is always good fun for both horse and rider! Being at Harringworth has not only made me become a better rider but a more confident person. Even with more commitments, any spare day I have I go down to the yard. I’d suggest Harringworth Manor Stables to anyone wanting to learn to ride!
